NBA TV having a fantasy basketball marathon on Monday (Oct. 16th)

NBA TV offers an all-day fantasy basketball marathon Monday on a number of platforms, including Sirius Satellite Radio, NBA.com and the network. The premier event will be a selection show at 4 p.m. on NBA TV.

The host of the marathon is fantasy guru Rick Kalma. Until 2002, Kalma was working as a financial planner. But after he and his wife moved into an apartment building in Minneapolis and discovered that the editor of Fantasy Football magazine lived in the same building, Kalma decided to pursue his passion and get involved full-time in fantasy sports. He now also does some play-by-play for NBA TV.

"I'm now living my dream," Kalma said. "And, besides, I was the world's worst financial planner."

By the way, NBA.com's top fantasy picks are, in order, LeBron James, Shawn Marion, Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett.
